- Unusual behavior I noticed:
I had activated the screensaver with the option for the screen to go blank after about 5 mins of inactivity.  After this feature had been unabled, I noticed that whenever I press on the mousepad and/or keyboard for the screen to reappear, the sreen-prompt for password displays incomplete. Immediately  after that, a dialogue window appears informing me that KWin has crashed.

The crash can be reproduced some of the time.

driver bug, see duplicate for workaround

No idea how your backtrace ended at this bug, but it is not the same and not even related.
Either upgrade to 4.6.[don't make me lie, i think "3" is enough] or set the scale method in "kcmshell44 kwincompositing", 3rd tab, to "smooth"
