Reassign to KRunner. With Plasma 5, krunner ships with a newer interface. |
Created attachment 60582 [details] Beispiel für abgeschnittene und nicht-abgeschnittene Zeilen Version: unspecified (using Devel) OS: Linux In some cases the second line of the item description of search results in KRunner is horizontally stripped off. A workaround is to alter the width of the KRunner window, so the lines are not automatically broken into two. Examples for this effect are: 'Molekülmassen-Rechner', 'Akonadi-Einrichtung', 'Einrichtung der Akonadi-Ressourcen' Example of a working second line is: 'Partitionierer' This problem does not occur with native language (i.e. en_US). The DPI of the font is (as far as I could verify) the main factor. With the default value for the DPI of the font (which is no forced DPI), this issue does not occur, but if I force the DPI to 96 this problem materialises. I kept the font size on default values. I'm not sure, whether this is a translation bug or a issue somewhere in KRunner. However, as it only occurs with German localisation, I filed this here. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Swith to German locale 2. Leave all font-settings on KDE's defaults 3. Force DPI of fonts to 96 4. open KRunner ([Alt]+[F2]) and enter 'Akonadi' (or one of the other examples) Actual Results: Second line of description of some result items is stripped off horizontally KDE installed from trunk through weekly openSUSE RPMs German translation self-compiled from trunk
