Version: 1.8.0 (using KDE 4.6.0)
OS: Linux

When I connect my camera (Kodak Easyshare V803) and choose photos, when download is finish, the download mark (v) appears. When I connect again my camera,in all photos I see the "New" mark (star).
a) I try to fix problem by re-installing the program, same behavior.
b) I re-install program, deleting also the Digikam folder in home/kde4/share/app,same behavior.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Connect camera.
2) Choose some new photos to download.
3) Disconnect camera/closing Digikam.
4) Connect camera.

Actual Results:
Problem remains as described above

Expected Results:
To have the (v) mark on photos that I have already download.

New file are marked in database.

I cannot reproduce the problem with my camera (UMS mode, not using Gphoto)

Can you try with digiKam 1.9.0 ?

Do you have any debug info when you run digiKam from the console (turn on digiKam debug using kdebugdialog before)
