Hallo, I got the same problem on Fedora 15 with KDE. Maybe anyone can fix this, because it's really annoying. (I have to use GTK applications to print.) Mebus I have the same problem printing to windows shared printers which require authentication. I have been able to solve it by configuring the printer uri to contain the username and password, i.e the printer url looks somewhat like this: smb://DOMAIN\username:password@COMPUTER/PRINTER However this stores the password in a systemwide plaintext file, which is not very security friendly :-) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 230522 *** |
