My mistake; I'd like the account to be marked as Away but Google doesn't have Away, so the next best option would be Busy (which Google has), but Kopete doesn't have an Auto-Busy
While I do think this is still a valid option to request, my understanding of the mess that is Google Hangouts has been clarified. One can use an XMPP/Jabber client (Kopete, Pidgen) to chat with people on Google Talk, but anyone who is using Hangouts doesn't receive those messages. The Google Talk or Hangout people can send to the XMPP-client-user just fine. Dear user, unfortunately Kopete is no longer maintained. Please migrate to another solution, e.g. for Jabber a possibility is Kaidan, for Matrix a candidate is NeoChat. |
