Everytime I try to right click on the Desktop Cube (sometimes it happens when I press Esc too), my system goes really really slow. I can't click Lancelot menu icon, or switch between opened windows; my mouse cursor sometimes stop for a second.

The only way I have found to stop this is to disable desktop effects, I can re-enable them if I want to without problems.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
With desktop effects enabled, I press Control+F11 to show the desktop cube (doesn't matter how I show the cube, for example when pointing to a corner of the screen), then click with the right mouse button.

Actual Results:  
I can't do anything for a while, after some seconds I can use the system, but not smoothly and I spend a lot of time to launch systemsettings for example.

CPU usage of Xorg with top goes near to 100%


I have installed nvidia driver 260.1936 and 270.26 also any earlier driver I don't remember. I have also tested it in two different computers (both with AMD, one K8 3200+ and the other one Phenom II X4 955) and three different graphic cards (Nvidia 6200, Nvidia G210, Nvidia GT240) with the same effect.

Both computers have installed Linux Mint 10 64bit (I have tested this issue with KDE SC 4.6.0 and 4.6.1)
