*** Bug 270363 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 274728 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 271742 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 267723 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 278391 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 279511 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I reported https://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-20773 which would not fix the issue, but at least improve the situation a bit. Forget comment #7. The issue seems to be that instead of clicking on the Kickoff items, you are indeed actually dragging them. If you are using an input device where clicking without dragging is next to impossible (e.g. a stylus), you might need to increase the "drag distance". You can change it with "kcmshell4 mouse" > "Advanced" Tab. *** Bug 275523 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 266713 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 236912 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 279906 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 276173 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 278491 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 281004 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 282102 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 285132 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 287822 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** It happened now also on KDE 4.7.90 (4.8.0 beta2) and Qt 4.7.4. I wasn't able to reproduce it until now, but I still know exactly what I did before it crashed: → Rightclicked on the desktop → "Add Widget" → Filtered the widget list for "list" → Dragged & dropped "Event List" to the desktop → Dragged & dropped "Event List" to the main panel → plasma-desktop crashed Backtrace: Thread 1 (Thread 0x7f810e05b780 (LWP 6887)): [KCrash Handler] #6 0x00007f8109d746fd This bug report was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this bug is already resolved in Plasma 5. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this bug report. If the issue described here is still present in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
