Thanks for the report! > It should count the folder contents no matter what. Well, the actual size of the file *is* the size of the symlink. But I agree that it would be nice to also see the size of the symlinked folder's contents. There is a wish about that already. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 262531 *** |
Created attachment 56950 [details] Wrong size shown Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.6.0) OS: Linux (Maybe related to file kio and not dolphin itself) I bought myself a SSD and symlinked my old directories from the normal hard disk to the /home which is now located on the SSD. When choosing properties of a folder its size is shown as 4 kiB or 20 kiB or something and its content doesnât get counted. This is especially annyoing when triggering folder properties from within the folder (i.e. open the folder and then right-click on an empty spot and choose Properties). It should count the folder contents no matter what. But maybe this is a workaround to prevent the recursive algorithm from getting stuck in a loop when calculating sizes, so all the symlink folder sizes are Reproducible: Always
