Kmail2 background scalled to have a smaller file size.
hmm.. It doesn't look different from http://websvn.kde.org/*checkout*/branches/KDE/4.6/kdelibs/kdeui/about/body-background.jpg?revision=1212187 Reassign to kdelibs. I don't know if the "noise" is intended, or if it is caused by too strong JPEG compression. Artists might decide to upload an improved or different background. It isn't an artefact of jpeg, it is intentional. (In reply to comment #4) > It isn't an artefact of jpeg, it is intentional. Please clarify. What's intentional to have low res backgrounds in an otherwise eye-candy oriented environment? 2345 x 1680 is low res? Really? (In reply to comment #6) > 2345 x 1680 is low res? Really? How about a constructive comment? Did you look at the attached screenshot? Do you find that "intentional"? Yes I did, and already answered once. If it is really needed I'll repeat - the noise/diagonal-lines effect is intentional. It is not a bug, it is not a jpeg artefact, it is not due to low-res image etc. KDE 4.7 RC2 with KDEPIM 4.6.1 and this annoying background is still there. |
