It's not clear to see where crash appear. Sound like digiKam debug package is missing. Also try to run digiKam into GDB directly. Look there for details : http://www.digikam.org/drupal/contrib Gilles Caulier There is an exception thrown somewhere in a thread, so we dont see the real problem. Please run digikam under gdb, catching the exception: gdb digikam catch throw run provoke the crash, then type bt and post the output here. Thanks! Sorry, Marcel, either can I understand english good enough nor can I understand your request, as I am not an advanced programmer. What's "gdb" or "catching the exception"? I feel I cannot help you in finding out the bug I sent you. Excuse me. --- El mar, 18/1/11, Marcel Wiesweg <marcel.wiesweg@gmx.de> escribió: > De: Marcel Wiesweg <marcel.wiesweg@gmx.de> > Asunto: [Bug 262843] Digikam 1.7.0 crashes at opening openSuse 11.2 > Para: prokofiev5822-todo@yahoo.es > Fecha: martes, 18 de enero, 2011 16:15 > https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=262843 > > > > > > --- Comment #2 from Marcel Wiesweg <marcel wiesweg gmx > de> 2011-01-18 16:15:22 --- > There is an exception thrown somewhere in a thread, so we > dont see the real > problem. > > Please run digikam under gdb, catching the exception: > gdb digikam > catch throw > run > > provoke the crash, then type > bt > and post the output here. Thanks! > > -- > Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email > ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- > You reported the bug. > No worries, it's really simple ;) Just open some terminal application (Konsole for example) and enter the commands posted by Marcel, starting with "gdb digikam", press enter, then type the next command and so on. Then just select everything in that terminal, copy it to clipboard and then paste here, that's all. It would be a really great help from you! All is explained there : http://www.digikam.org/drupal/contrib Gilles Caulier We need feedback using a recent version. 2.0.0 RC is out, please test... Thanks in advance Gilles Caulier digiKam 2.2.0 is out since few weeks. Crash still valid with this version ? Gilles Caulier New digiKam 4.11.0 is available. https://www.digikam.org/node/740 Can you reproduce the problem with this release ? Gilles Caulier digiKam 4.12.0 is out : https://www.digikam.org/node/741 We need a fresh feedback using this release please... Thanks in advance. This problem is not reproducible with last 5.0.0. I close this file now. Don't hesitate to re-open it if necessary. Gilles Caulier |
