Description Kai Uwe Broulik 2010-12-29 20:18:55 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.90)
OS: Linux

Since in KDE 4.6 you can add “Windows 7 like launchers” (which isn‘t even close to Windows 7‘s feature) you can no longer drag folders/files onto the taskbar and wait and have the target folder restored.
This renders dragging files COMPLETELY unusable since as soon as you click a folder its window is focussed no matter if you simply want to drag a file. (This has been reported years ago but likely will never be fixed)

Reproducible: Always

Related to bug 261443.
- Is your Dolphin navigation setting set a "double-click to
open file/folder" ?

Nope, it is set to open using single-click

Definitly more a bug in the widget itself than in kdelibs since dragging files onto Smooth Tasks widget which uses kdelibs still brings up the respective window. Definitly caused by this new launcher feature.

Is this still valid with KDE 4.8.3 or later?

Just tried. Works in 4.8.3 :)
