If I add a second panel and populate it with application launcher(s) the launchers do not open the app. The app when hovered is displayed and identified correctly but clicking does nothing. Widgets added to the second panel work fine.

after testing the "add to panel" (or dragging) any app launchers added to the original default panel is not working either. Apps added to existing quicklauncer works fine

Problem appears to be caused by using existing plasma config files, removing them and starting with defaults resolves the problem.

known bug in the betas, fixed in trunk
