From KDE 4.6 Beta2 I'm not able to start application from panel/desktop by click/doubleclick on icon. Icon react on right click, tooltip is shown.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Right click on selected an application in kickoff and choose "Add to Panel" or "Add to Desktop"
2) Try to start application by clicking on icon in panel/desktop

Actual Results:  
Nothing happen

Expected Results:  
Application is started.

There is nothing in .xession-errors file.

I can confirm on Beta2 compiled from sources. This also happens to icons on desktop.

Can't reproduce here. I added an icon by dragging it to panel and another one by dragging it to desktop then one by using the right click "Add to panel" and all I can click all those icons.

There must be something different from you guys and me then.
I have defaults KDE, default plasma theme, no compositing, no lock, ... I don't know what could make this not work.

Can someone try with a new $KDEHOME or a new user to check with defaults?

OK it appears that it's a bug in beta 2 which has been fixed on trunk (post beta 2)
I'll enquire more and point to the commit when I close.

That would explain it!
