Description Andreas Kuhl 2010-12-12 08:42:03 UTC
Version: SVN trunk (KDE 4) (using KDE 4.5.85)
OS: Linux

I wanted to write a new mail with KMail 2 and opened the compose mail window. If I start typing a few letters of a contact from my Akonadi adressbook into the address field, the autocomplete dropdown shows up as expected.

BUT if I try now to complete the address by selecting a shown contact (either by navigating with the [TAB] and [ENTER] key or by clicking it directly with the mouse, the dropdown disappears but the address is not completed.

Even worse: If I try to set focus on the address field again, it refuses to get the focus. No text cursor is shown and typing is ignored. However, I can reset the field by clicking the "empty field" icon on the very right side of the text field.

Reproducible: Always

Ah, opened this bug for KMail by mistake! Closing it as invalid and re-opening it for KMail 2: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259609
