It shows the connection auto eth0 in the tray icon application, but when you go to configure network connection it is not shown there. This automatic connection is by default DHCP and if i want it to be a static IP address i most create a new one, but this is still not default and every time the system reboots auto eth0 is used.

I tried to solve this by editing configuration files (/etc/network/interfaces) but it did not work either. I now there is probably another way, but is not straightforward.

So my suggestion is to allow the editing of the auto eth0 connection in the graphical user interface of knetworkmanager (as in GNOME's).

Steps to Reproduce:
open manage network connections


create a new connection, activate it, mark it as connect automatically and reboot

Actual Results:  
no way to configure auto eth0


the new connection is not used

Expected Results:  
configure auto eth0 is possible


the new connection is used

Probably your wired connection is a system connection. NetworkManager usually
creates a system wired connection, but since we have not commited the system
connection implementation you need to wait a bit more until we do it or you can
test it yourself: http://git.reviewboard.kde.org/r/100947/
