some missing but very useful layer options:

- merging all visible layers to one new layer (keeping all other layers untouched)
- crop layer to canvas size (if the layer is bigger or smaller as the canvas there is now way to fit it right)

The first wish I added to a bigger wishbug with very similar feature requests.
The latter is possible with "trim to current layer" under "image" menu
