Summary: Downloads don't always complete

Description niburu1 2010-11-24 12:12:37 UTC
Version: 0.6.1 (using KDE 4.5.3)
OS: Linux

Some downloads don't complete, usually large or largish ones. E.g. just now a zip file of 25MB+ wouldn't complete on numerous attempts. They also don't complete when using KGet in Rekonq. (They keep stalling.) They complete just fine using Google Chrome.

I don't know if this is a bug for Rekonq or a bug for some other KDE component.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
Download a large-ish file, say 50MB.

Actual Results:
The download never completes (stalls).

rekonq simply uses KIO for transfers. Since the download also does not finish in KGet (which can, and probably also is, using KIO too) it seems like it could be some KIO issue, or some local issue… :-)

Would it be possible then to move this bug to the appropriate "place" instead of having me refile it?

(I just experienced the bug again, this time with a 3MB file!)
