Hej Sabine, I guess that's a misunderstanding. Even though the text is layed out on two lines, it is only one logical line (e.g. it doesn't contain a line break character). Therefor only the start of the first line is prefixed with a '>'. If you go to the middle of the line and press <Enter>, then you'll see that two physical lines are created and both have the '>' quoting character prepended.
