(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***)

Package: kmail
Version: KDE 2.1.0
Severity: wishlist
Installed from: Not Specified
Compiler: Not Specified
OS: Linux
OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified

When using the Prev/Next unread toolbar buttons it is hard to keep track of emails just read because:
One is jumping around in the current mail folder. But since the "unread" marking of emails fades away once one has read it (obviously) you cannot revisit the message you just have read.

Would be nice to have a button/menu entry/whatever to do that (like the back button in a web browser).

This msg is somewhat unclear: I hope you still understand what I mean. I ran into this situation several times now but I don't know if a feature like this is needed in dirfferent circumstances too.

Still valid for 3.3 beta 1.

I consider this as a duplicate of #89787. Having a back and forward button is more useful than having just an "one step back" button.
