VNC log including output of startkde
It looks like you don't have DBus (SystemBus) running, according to this line: ** (process:18053): WARNING **: Error connecting to bus: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.FileNotFound: Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory Can you try to call some method on SystemBus manually? dbus-daemon was not running because I did not start the dbus service. If this is required for KDE to work properly, I was not aware of it. I'm guessing since dbus-daemon is not running you don't need me to call something on SystemBus manually. Yes, Polkit 1 - as used on Linux as KAuth backend - is heavily DBus based service. On the other hand we should assure that it does not crash when DBus is not available (and probably auth. agent shouldn't be running then at all). [Comment from a bug triager] There is another related report at bug 248163. Regards *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 248163 *** |
