Version:           1.0 (using KDE 4.5.1) 
OS:                Linux

If the mouse is not moved (ie watching a film) after 10 minutes the monitor switches off. Screensaver and power options are both disabled. 

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Don`t move the mouse for 10 minutes.
I tried disabling Desktop effects but no difference.



OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.35-22-generic
Compiler: cc
Kubuntu 10.10 upgraded from 10.04 64 bit.

Display power saving modes could also be dictated by
- BIOS ACPI settings
- X11 server (try "xset -q" in Konsole)

Probably a Kubuntu issue as Christoph says

Hello Raymond,

No luck here man :( 
1 Toshiba laptop (but also tested on other computers)
> Kubuntu LTS  -->  the 10 minutes problem (BIOS ACPI gives no difference)
> Debian Squeeze with same KDE 4.5.1  >>  no 10 minute problem.
