Actually, there is a checkbox "Enable MIME-based actions" in the Actions tab. Surely it is clear as glass for any grandmother what that is about? ;) > "...selecting 'konqueror' tries to open firefox (and fails)....". Sounds like the same problem in bug 261071 if you were using firefox as default browser, although I not sure what "and fails" means. Personally, I don't think there is a bug here. "Enable MIME-based actions" is not that hard to understand, except MIME the acronym :) . Maybe tooltip should be added for that checkbox. >Maybe tooltip should be added for that checkbox. I can add that. What do you think of 'Offer to open documents and URLs with their associated programs'? Dear Bug Submitter, This bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? I am setting the status to NEEDSINFO pending your response, please change the Status back to REPORTED when you respond. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! Dear Bug Submitter, This is a reminder that this bug has been stagnant for a long time. Could you help us out and re-test if the bug is valid in the latest version? This bug will be moved back to REPORTED Status for manual review later, which may take a while. If you are able to, please lend us a hand. Thank you for helping us make KDE software even better for everyone! This bug is for 4.5.1, not 5.15.3. so I'm marking this as resolved unmaintained. Klipper no longer has default actions anyway. |
