Sentry Crash Report:

Description thomasfisher 2010-10-08 18:09:16 UTC
Application: akonadi_contacts_resource (0.1)
KDE Platform Version: 4.4.2 (KDE 4.4.2)
Qt Version: 4.6.2
Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-25-generic-pae i686
Distribution: Ubuntu 10.04.1 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
I do not know what the crahed package functions are:
The crash notice appeared immediately after starting Kmail. [Note] Kmail itself seemed to run ok, so the Akonai crash may be related. Some general anomalities that have been noticed are:
---Relatively large incidence of crashes [ seemingly most are random ] under Ubuntu 10.04. I was not able to submit bug reports due to the traces were incomplete. In following through many off the apps \ modules did not have installable debug available. NOTE that this within itself indicates a deficiency.
---abnormally lengthy pauses while changing folders in dolphin. I normally run dolphin in a split screen mode. It may be significant that I have several HD on the machine, all are SATA. Also some of the directories are quite large, but the load time is more delayed that what I have experienced with prior versions of the system [ Ubuntu ] on the same hardware configuration.
---Similar lengthy pauses when doing file saves from applications such as OpenOffice, Gimp.
__KDE is the main window manger that I use. Gnome is configured in but KDE is my normal choice.

--> In submitting this report, I stopped Kmail and restarted, the problem pkg did not crash again.

If I can be of further service please let me know.

Thanx
Tom

The crash does not seem to be reproducible.
