I have the same problem, using KMail/Kontact 4.4.6 and KDE SC 4.5.1 on Kubuntu 10.10. My mom had no idea how she could see the images, I had to tell her to double click messages to open them in a window so the image does download. This is an annoying bug for novice users and it occurs often, while I imagine it’s not difficult to fix. Hopefully the KMail developers could give some priority to solving this bug? I should also mention that I forwarded one of those e-mails with an inline image so I could view them with KMail 4.6 beta 4. That version doesn’t seem to have this bug. Is the "load attachments on demand" option still available in kmail2 resp. Akonadi IMAP? I can't find it at all. So we might want to close this bug ticket and open a new wishlist for that functionality instead. Not finding it here on KMail 4.9.2, didn't even noticed the problem was caused by using IMAP Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
