When i login the first time (machine startup, with and without autologin), plasma show me an empty transparent plasmoid/window on my desktop. I can click inside this window to show desktop menu.

Logout/login again fix issue.

Removing plasma*rc fix issue for some times and after, bug come back.

Same problem here.  Mine appears in the top left corner of my screen.  The geometry of the window is 1280x720.

Same with Kde 4.5.3...

It's really a bad bug, can't deploy Kde 4.5 ... :(

Seems to be cause by kwin shadow effect on some plasma window... :(
