Description Alex Merry 2010-09-28 13:30:18 UTC
Version: unspecified (using Devel)
OS: Linux

When used with the Oxygen style (from trunk), KMail in trunk often (but not always) has broken tabs in the configuration dialog. This doesn't happen with other styles.

The issue is that changing to another tab in the configuration dialog doesn't change the contents of the tab - the old contents are displayed. However, you can't interact with the contents (or possibly you are interacting with the new content pane, which just isn't being displayed - it's hard to tell).

Changing to a third tab will cause the second tab's contents to be displayed (but you still can't interact with those widgets).

This happens with both the main kmail configuration dialog and its sub-dialogs, like the identity and akonadi resource dialogs.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Note: this may happen with other applications, but I haven't had cause to use the configuration dialogs of other applications much, and the bug doesn't happen all the time.

Hello,
though I can't reproduce, I'm pretty sure the issue is due to the "tab transition" animation, that somehow get stuck in mid-air.
You can use "oxygen-settings" (from konsole or krunner), go to the "animation" tab and uncheck the "Tab transition" mark. That should fix it.
I'll investigate what can possibly go wrong here in the meanwhile ...

Tab transition is now disabled by default. This fixes the issue.
... and I can't reproduce anyway. So closing.
