Description Jens Lang 2010-09-26 17:32:51 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.1)
OS: Linux

This is related to bug 221533.

If I try to connect to a Jabber server with a self-signed certificate in Kopete, it says "Unknown signature value: 795" and the connection is refused. This is probably due to an error in qca-ossl. This patch proposes a workaround: https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/19175?getfile=5727 (cf. https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/19175?dev=280). This workaround works for me.

Reproducible: Always

The linked Archlinux bug says it is a problem in OpenSSL.

I got a similar problem with openfire. It seems that upgrading it to 3.7.0 fixed the problem.

Kopete is long gone.
