Description Marc Schütz 2010-09-08 15:10:36 UTC
Version: 2.5 (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux

Sometimes I need to quickly open a new shell in a tab to type some commands, and closing it again after I'm done (by pressing Ctrl-D). It would be nice if Konsole returned to the previously selected tab, so that I can continue working there. This is the way it workend in KDE3 (and maybe previous versions of Konsole?).

In the current version, the left-most tab is selected instead.

(KDE version is actually 4.5.1, but isn't in the list)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open several tabs in Konsole
2. select the second or third one
3. press Ctrl-Shift-N to open a new tab
4. press Ctrl-D to exit the new shell and thereby close the tab opened in step 3

Actual Results:
The first tab is now active.

Expected Results:
The tab that was active before i switched to the tab I've just closed should be activated.
