Doh, there is a typo up there... s/1920x1080, left of main screen/1920x1080, right of main screen/ Seems duplicate of Bug #183143. As a preliminary alternative to this, it would be nice if there were a way of disabling KDE's detection of changed monitor setups. (BTW I haven't seen this automatic dialog for a long time, but since upgrading to KDE 4.10 I'm getting this dialog “monitor setup has changed” every time.) The problem that I'm having with this (maybe should go into a new bug report?) is that I do have a script for different "profiles" as described here in place, and I don't want KDE to interfere with it. (BTW I am currently running this script manually, but apparently there are ways of having it triggered by udev rules, e.g. here: http://ruedigergad.com/2012/01/28/hotplug-an-external-screen-to-your-laptop-on-linux/) Thanks for reporting your bug. Since reporting Krandr has since been replaced by KScreen. It is available in the Plasma 4 series, and is default in Plasma 5 onwards. I hope this solves your issue. If you still have a problem after upgrading please reopen a new bug under kscreen. Thanks |
