There should be a checkbox "Show this panel on all activities" analog to the one "Show this window on all desktops", so you can have for example your taskbar on every activity but a second panel on activity X. I've seen several people wishing for this. do we have anyone interested in implementing it for 4.7? Adding this feature will be great. I often travel with my laptop and from time to time I need to attach external screen (as multi-head). I usually create a panel with task list on the second screen. But after disconnecting, the second panel will appear on the first screen. So I have two panels there. That's very annoying. Creating two activities - first for single screen, second for dual screen - would be acceptable solution for me. Jan (In reply to comment #3) > Adding this feature will be great. At home, I'm using my laptop with a docking station, to which, an external screen is attached. But I often travel with it as well, so then I only have the built-in screen. Having the possibility to simply switch the activity to show/hide panels on the optional external screen would save me a lot of time. There‘s good news, folks. In Plasma‘s community wiki page, there is a brainstorming for KDE 4.7 and 4.8 which lists improvements to activities, among them the firsts list item “Panel association with activities” (community.kde.org/Plasma/2011) *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 189363 *** |
