Product: [Applications] dolphin Reporter: Keith Lee <keithdlee>

Description Keith Lee 2010-08-22 21:54:23 UTC
Version: unspecified (using KDE 4.5.0)
OS: Linux

When I attempt to View the Panel sub-window in a Dolphin window, nothing shows up.
**** There is a workaround where a user can add a Panel option on the toolbar though.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open up a Dolphin file manager window.
Click the View tab.
Go down and click the Panel tab.

Actual Results:
Nothing is shown.

Expected Results:
The Panel options (Places, Information, Folders, Terminal) should show.

Thanks for the report, but I cannot reproduce this issue with KDE SC 4.5.0. Would it be possible, that you temporary remove/rename the file ~/.kde/share/config/dolphinrc and check whether this resolves your issue?
Comment 2 Keith Lee 2010-08-24 00:05:20 UTC
Peter:
Actually, my file is ~/kde4/share/config/dolpinrc. Nothing
happened anyway.

Sincerely,
Keith D. Lee

it shows just fine here on 4.5.0, 4.5.1 and trunk.
Please make a screenshot showing the issue.

It might be a dist specific issue or something.. try to update KDE and see if you still have the issue.

Isn't this a duplicate of Bug 246102?
