I have anti-aliased fonts switched on but this doesn't seem to be the problem. what X server do you use ? maybe we use some function which is not accelerated with your X server. the page is as fast as the usual other pages here. Dirk Hm.. On my work machine (xfree 4.0.2 kde 2.2alpha (redhat rpms) permedia 2) it sucks. On my home machine (xfree 4.0.2 kde 2.1 (debian via kde.tdyc.com) geforce2 MX) it's fine! so either it's a permedia 2 issue or a kde2.2alpha issue.. drop the bug for now :-) On Tuesday 01 May 2001 18:53 Dirk Mueller wrote: > On Fre 27 Apr 2001 giles@spacepigs.com wrote: > > I pointed konquerer at http://www.2600.com and it appears that the > > central table of news headlines is causing konquerer some unfeasibly > > large amounts of strain to draw it. probably permedia 2. the only part that could help me understanding whats
going on is a output of x11perf -full to see what operations are extremely
slow on your X server.
