layout example
2 top panels to change activities (auto hide)
1 middle panel to start apps (windows can overlap panel)
bottom left (auto hide)
bottom right (auto hide, open windows panel)
Nothing to complain!
Precisely my point - I don't want numerous panels, I want one panel that spans the two screens and I want one desktop that spans the two screens so my desk top icons can make use of the area. And I still want the windows to be aware of the join in the middle. This worked perfectly in kde 3 I'm not a plasma developer, but I think this is a "WONTFIX" _by design_ Anyway, from my point of view, there are more benefits with the current implementation. I use two monitors too and my life is better with it :-) I can list some advantages. For example you can have two separated taskbar on the two monitors (very useful if you work with a lot of windows), it is more easy to place the panels when you use different screen resolutions and, generally speking, it is more tidy :-) Probably you could configure differently the X server in order to expose only one screen across the two monitors. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 167825 *** |
