kdesudo rejects my (correct) password with umlaut characters "äöü" (maybe more are affected, i just had äö in my password). 
dolphin rejected while trying to mount a ntfs volume and other apps requiring kdesudo have the same problem.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
*set password with üäö characters
*try mount ntfs volume / open synaptic or similar ...

Actual Results:  
kdesudo rejects password

Expected Results:  
same

OS: Linux (x86_64) release 2.6.32-24-generic
(Kubuntu 10.04, all current updates)

My kdesudo rejects correct password (which contains english letters only) when I try to launch any program by other user.

"kdesudo" is not part of the KDE Software Compilation (only "kdesu" is), but a distribution specific addon. Please report this bug to https://launchpad.net/kdesudo
