In Kompare appearence settings a couple of color can be changed, but very important color - generic background is unchangeable. And it is not taken form system color(but foreground is ok). So Kompare looks terrible with dark color scheme.

It is necessary to to set background color and/or to uese system-wide settings.

We intentionally don't use the system background color because black on black was kinda hard to read. ;-) See bug 175251.

Is there any progress on this? It's really sad that the bug reported 10 years ago is still kept abandoned. Kompare should follow dark theme the same way Meld follows (even in Plasma). If Meld can follow dark theme, even in Plasma, why not Kompare?
