You are right. Our coastline vector data is a bit inaccurate. We should try to import other/more accurate coastline vector data into marble, but I'm not sure if this would result into performance decreases. *** Bug 236408 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** Currently we are using the coastline data from the MWDB II set. We should investigate, if we could use more accurate data instead, however, this could require a more efficient rendering code. Perhaps we could extract data from the OpenStreetMap project. That could allow us to do a colored political map. |
