If I forget to force mounting the system is amoust block and working extreemly slow! This report is pretty old. If you receive this email, is this still happening for you? I assume that you also use KDE with Manjaro and there the issue is no longer happening (as you wrote it also seemed to have worked with previous systems you used, probably also with KDE). This might have been a downstream issue of Kubuntu maybe or just a temporal bug in the automounter that got fixed in between. I will mark this as resolved for now.
