"informing me of a crash" <-- can you please paste the back trace you get there? Hi Christoph, I'm not sure whether the original contributor ever resolved the issue. I have exactly the same problem after a fresh install following a replacement mother board. AMD Athlon 64 X2 dual core processor 4000+, 1Gb mem Record works okay, but no live or playback. Xine works perfectly, but I prefer Kaffeine. I got the following when run from cmd line: paul@zaphod2:~$ kaffeine QSystemTrayIcon::setVisible: No Icon set Connecting to deprecated signal QDBusConnectionInterface::serviceOwnerChanged(QString,QString,QString) kbuildsycoca4 running... paul@zaphod2:~$ params.c:OpenConfFile() - Unable to open configuration file "/home/paul/.smb/smb.conf": No such file or directory params.c:OpenConfFile() - Unable to open configuration file "/home/paul/.smb/smb.conf.append": No such file or directory received X error event: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) X Error: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes) 8 Extension: 132 (Uknown extension) Minor opcode: 17 (Unknown request) Resource id: 0x3f KCrash: Application 'kaffeine-xbu' crashing... Let me know if there is any additional info required. Thanks This bug is too old, for a version < 1.3. Closing it, as the latest version is 2.0.1, and lots of things changed since version 1.2.x, including the usage of VLC as video display backend, support for DVB-T2 and ISDB-T via libVLC, etc. You may check on the upstream version and see if the bug was solved. The README file contains instructions about how to compile it. You can find it at our git repository: https://quickgit.kde.org/?p=kaffeine.git If you find similar issues with version 2.0.1, please re-open. |
