this happens to me too with KMail 1.13.5, KDE 4.5.2. it started happening after i tried to do a full search in my "Gmail/inbox", matching where "All Recipients" contained a literal string. that search triggered this error for the first time. the error subsequently appears upon opening unread messages in the inbox, upon marking messages as new, and sometimes upon opening folders. sometimes it appears twice in a row. restarting kmail does not fix it. something else eventually does, but i can't figure out what. i can reproduce this behavior every time i use the aforementioned type of search query. searching on "Complete Message", Subject, From, To, and CC does not trigger this behavior. Same probleme here with kde 4.5.3 Same here in KMail 1.13.5 on KDE 4.5.1. It started out of the blue a few days ago. Hoo boy. I didn't change a thing (same config, no upgrade, not even a reboot) and now it works again, after misbehaving for a few days. Odd. (In reply to comment #4) > Hoo boy. Odd. is your search against "All Recipients"? many of the other target fields have always worked for me, but "All Recipients" still fails. @5: Ah ah, indeed, searching against "All Recipients" triggers the bug again. Also, the error message seems to open even when I'm reading individual messages in any GMail folder, so long as the search is still active. Strange. Thank you for taking the time to file a bug report. KMail2 was released in 2011, and the entire code base went through significant changes. We are currently in the process of porting to Qt5 and KF5. It is unlikely that these bugs are still valid in KMail2. We welcome you to try out KMail 2 with the KDE 4.14 release and give your feedback. |
