Is KPPP started by a different user, such as root? No. It is started by the same user. ------Original Message------ From: Christoph Feck Sender: bugzilla_noreply@kde.org To: Chetan Khona ReplyTo: bug-control@bugs.kde.org Subject: [Bug 229916] KPPP style remains oxygen even if KDE appearancesettings are different Sent: Mar 9, 2010 8:12 AM https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=229916 --- Comment #1 from Christoph Feck <christoph maxiom de> 2010-03-09 03:42:44 --- Is KPPP started by a different user, such as root? I observed following things today.
If I start KPPP from menu, it uses oxygen style but has all my USB modem settings.
I checked menu command from menu editor. It is "kppp".
But this command does not work in konsle. It gives error - "Permission denied"
If I start issue command - "sudo kppp" it uses my desktop appearance settings but does not have my USB modem settings.
So "sudo kppp" gives correct appearance settings but If I start KPPP from menu it uses oxygen appearance settings.
Thanks & Regards,
Chetan
