- Did you changed your login manager ? Regards No, (I don't even know how to do that).
I have changed the session-manager to use KDE as default but that was a
long time ago.

Somewhere I found that the following line would create an appropiate /etc/sysconfig/desktop-file: echo "DISPLAYMANAGER=/usr/bin/kdm" > /etc/sysconfig/desktop However, there are some applications that I can't use on this laptop, due to problems with the video-card (for example google earth and IBM Symphony) and it shows that the KDE login manager can be added to this list :-( I couldn't log in and had to use the Fedora rescue disk to delete that file. After yet another update, the shutdown and reboot-option have returned so the problem is solved. But I still don't know what has changed ;-) Thanks for updating the bug status. |
