Description Dotan Cohen 2010-01-25 23:23:08 UTC
Version: (using Devel)
Installed from: Compiled sources

When working with multiple windows (such as in the Gimp, or two Okular windows side by side) the otherwise terrific Dim Inactive effect gets annoying. Please add an option to not dim specific windows on the fly. I imagine that an option in the title bar menu would suffice.

Thanks.

Gimp has known problems, I think it does not mark its windows as tool windows.

As for the other use case (having two windows side by side to compare content), it might also be useful to have "don't dim" as an option in quick tiling mode.

Implementing it for quick tiling would be very restrictive. I use manually tiled windows often for latex editing (editor / viewer). For this use case it would be very nice to be able to disable dimming from by the window menu and a (perhaps user defined) short cut.
