Hej, the concept in the new KAddressBook is to handle contacts and contact groups in an equal way (user interface wise), therefor we won't provide such a separated pane. However in future version the contact group editor dialog will be non-modal, so you can open it and drag&drop items from the main view onto the contact group editor to add new members to the group.
