Kmail crash report

Description Sebastian 2010-01-07 11:38:43 UTC
Version:            (using KDE 4.3.4)
OS:                Linux
Installed from:    Ubuntu Packages

Hi

Actually, I can't give a lot of information. Every time I try to start kmail, it crashs.
Command line output:
gerecke@cheng:~$ kmail
gerecke@cheng:~$ KCrash: Application 'kmail' crashing...

Then the crash report applet opens. That's it.

I have shomewhat of an idea but I can not confirm it at the moment, since kmail won't run.
Yesterday, I searched some imap-folder with a custom search. Kmail kept telling me the search was invalid or not supported or somthing like that. But really, this is just a guess.

I'd really appreciate some help to get my kmail back. I need it urgently.

Thanks

Kmail crash report

now plain text

Ok, fixed it myself :)

I deleted the "last search" in ~/.kde/share/apps/kmail/search

The underlying bug remains, though. Kmail should not chrash because of something like a search pattern it does not like.

Content of the "last search" file:

[Search Folder]
Base=.197725062.directory/.[Gmail].directory/Gesendet
Recursive=true
contentsA=abo@heise.de
fieldA=<recipients>
funcA=contains
name=<unbenannt>
operator=and
