Version:           0.9.1 (using 4.3.1 (KDE 4.3.1) "release 6", openSUSE 11.2)
Compiler:          gcc
OS:                Linux (i686) release 2.6.31.5-0.1-pae

i have tried to use it to open php manual - php_manual_en.chm

but it's not usable
- first it takes few minutes to load
- navigation doesn't - you can't click on lick in contents tab, also it's very hard to click links it the text

the kchmviewer opens this file without problem
