Screenshot of K3b panels
I can confirm this bug with K3B 1.69.0 on KDE SC 4.4 Beta 1, Fedora 12. The interesting part is that it seems the panel is set back to its original size periodically. i.e. if I resize it, sometimes it might stay there for about a second before snapping back. Sometimes it returns immediately - apparently depending on when I do the resize compared to the periodic cycling. Just found out some interesting behaviour with the resize. 1. Right-click on the toolbars and deselect 'Lock Panels' 2. The bottom panel resizing problem remains 3. Click on the small icon on the top right corner of the project panel (left to the close button) 4. Play around resizing the panel now. There's weird behaviour - the pane seems to mov to different sizes on its on 5. With a bit of playing, you'll be able to resize the pane to your liking *** Bug 222173 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 224340 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** As Michal Ziabkowski said it's probably the same problem as the one Amarok had (bug 213990) Could someone try to edit $HOME/.kde4/share/config/k3brc file and remove "State" option from [main_window_settings] section? This should fix the problem. Sorry to disappoint, but I've just tried that and the glitch is still there. Removing the whole [main_window_settings] section doesn't help either. Which doesn't surprise me, since I remember experiencing after purging the whole k3brc. I can confirm this, on Gentoo again. The glitch appeared already on some 1.6* version, unfortunately I cannot recall whether it manifested itself before or after upgrade to qt-4.6. Please fix this ASAP, currently it makes k3b almost impossible to use This is a Qt 4.6 issue, reported to Nokia (see here: http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-8107) Bug fixed upstream. The fix will be included in Qt 4.6.3 Could you point me to this specific commit? I want to backport it, but can't seem to find it at gitorious. It's in "staging" clone, see here: http://qt.gitorious.org/+qt-developers/qt/staging/commit/059be19781a22d2e41f22072152589857d0fabf9 Thanks. I tried it and can confirm the patch fixes the k3b problem. *** Bug 228302 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** *** Bug 228646 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** SVN commit 1096859 by mmalek: Fixed default size of Welcome Widget and some cleanups.
