I have to correct myself, there is a way to disable these shortcuts. The system settings contain an item for keyboard/mouse and there in the global keyboard commands I can unset these commands. Still the question for me is why these need to be global shortcuts and why they use keyboard combinations that are widely used for standard actions, e.g. selection handling. kphotoalbum and gwenview use kipi-plugins too. rotation tool is a pkipi plugin...
