I think Gwenview misses a lot of supported filetypes in its mimetype list in the .deskop files.

At least image/tiff;image/x-tiff; seems to be supported.

Why don't you keep it in sync with the list of KolourPaint?

This patch from tim blechmann seems to address this particular request, but has not been applied to the most recent release.
