Hello. The reason Konsole does not use Ctrl+T is because all single-modifier (Ctrl/Shift/Alt) + letter combinations are reserved for use by terminal programs. Hence most shortcuts in Konsole begin with Ctrl+Shift. > I am not sure if this is the role of the program or the distro
Choosing shortcuts and interface defaults is a co-operative activity. Distributors would like the whole desktop to gell together with applications using the same shortcuts for the same actions. For application developers and people providing support or advice to users, it helps if everyone using the application gets the same default settings.
