Whenever I start plasma-desktop, it will begin to load (it will load the wallpaper fine).  After it begins to load, the taskbar disappears, and about a second later it reappears, and then a segfault occurs and plasma-desktop is terminated.  The taskbar seems to have some really weird layout configuration as well, but that may be due to the fact that my plasma-appletsrc file is empty. The back trace that I have from KDE Crash Handler is:

Are you sure this is a duplicate of bug 213348?  Looking at Bug 213348 they have the same title, but if you look at the stack traces, the bugs seems to be in different parts of the code base.  My stack trace has issues with position and a segfault in the layout portion of the code.  Bug 213348 has a bug that seems to be in Qt/KDE networking code.  Again the titles seem similar but the underlying bugs seem to be very different.

Just tested with a fresh user account, and the segfault still occurs.  It looks like it is trying to layout the widgets and the taskbar in a really weird way, as if something is corrupted (but with a new user that shouldn't be a problem).
